A Note From Our Founder

Every day, at every hour, people around the world are making and eating food. You can travel to any remote corner of our planet, and without speaking the language or knowing the customs, you’re likely to find people gathering over a meal. And you’ll immediately understand what that ritual means—because the act of sharing a meal is nearly universal, and as uniquely human as anything we do.

Food is, of course, sustenance. It’s also a creative outlet, a love language, a reflection of our heritage, and a vast and varied industry that touches most aspects of our lives. Some of us are passionate foodies, while others cook, or eat, mostly out of necessity. But one thing most people have in common is that life’s biggest moments, whether joyous celebrations, difficult conversations, or memorable milestones, often take place around a table. There is something comforting and familiar about breaking bread during these times. It’s where we reflect, reconnect, and sometimes heal.

That is what Homecooked is all about—putting words and images to an intangible feeling you already know to be true: that home-cooked meals nourish us in ways that go beyond the plate. They bring us closer to family, to friends, to tradition, and to each other.

After years of dreaming about this moment, I’m thrilled to invite you to our table. I hope that inside you’ll find stories and recipes that surprise, delight, and inspire you at every turn.

Warmly,
Mike McCormick

Issue 01 is shipping now–and here's what people are saying:

“I just got and read my first copy of Homecooked. Wow! It is amazing, reminiscent of the older versions of food magazines that are sorely missed. The recipes are unusual yet without unique and hard to procure ingredients. I cannot wait to make several of them!” – Fay W.

“The first issue of Homecooked is fabulous! This fills the void that was left when Martha Stewart stopped publishing her magazine. It’s kind of like The Lost Kitchen in magazine form. I love it!” – Deb D.

“I absolutely love it and am looking forward to future issues.” – Kay N.
